Children Cannot Learn Without Playing and Cannot Play Without Learning

"Children cannot play without learning and cannot learn without playing!"

There is not a dichotomy between play and learning. They go hand in hand and are interdependent upon each other. Play is how children learn.

And no, educational toys or special props are not needed for children to learn while playing. Give them sticks, a tree, some blocks, a doll, scarves, pieces of paper, or nothing at all and let them use their imaginations. They will learn regardless, as long as they are playing!

Thank you Early Childhood Christian Network for having me on your podcast, Reimagine Childhood. My episode will be live March 13!
