I have seen it posted time and again. Relationships are key for any classroom and essential to learning. I think we can all agree on that!
How do we build relationships with young children? During routing care. There is no better face-to-face time than changing a diaper or helping a child put on their coat. Why do we rush through those experiences though to get to the “academic activities” on our curriculum? We need to slow down during the moments of care routines and embrace the relationships being built as well as the learning taking place.
